Luca is inspired by MichΓ¨le Mouton, a French rally driver and the first woman to win a major rally championship. Competing for Audi, she had four rally wins and was runner-up in the 1982 drivers’ world championship. A documentary about her career called 𝘘𝘢𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘦π˜₯ won an Emmy for Best Sports Documentary. Jane is inspired by Meredith Reilly, who was a senior on the Ashland track and XC teams when Jane was a freshman. Meredith was a captain of the track and XC teams both her junior and senior years, and Jane has followed in her footsteps as a 2-year captain and leader of our teams! Ryan is inspired by Lindsay Vonn, a skier who had won 3 Olympic medals and 8 World Championship medals. She is one of only six women who have won World Cup races in all five disciplines of alpine skiing.
